When Al Gore rolled out his 2006 climate scare film, An Inconvenient Truth, complete with sinking cities and stranded polar bears, Rush had the perfect answer. He created the “Al Gore Doomsday Clock” and let it count down to exactly what he predicted: nothing.

By the time the mid-2010s arrived, Manhattan was still above water, Europe was not on fire, and all the dramatic predictions quietly evaporated. Rush knew the pattern. The climate panic industry always promises catastrophe, and when the disaster date comes and goes, they simply move the goalposts and start again.

At the MRC, we stick to the one climate model that has never failed: Genesis  summer, fall, winter, spring. It works.

But for the secular left and the media that amplifies them, “climate change” is the perfect unfalsifiable belief system. Heat wave? Climate change. Snowstorm? Climate change. A normal hurricane season? Climate change. A quiet hurricane season? Climate change. It is the Swiss Army knife of excuses.

And the media carry the message faithfully. Their job is to hype every weather event as the beginning of the apocalypse while never acknowledging the decades of failed predictions behind them. Panic sells. Accuracy does not.

Which brings us to their favorite annual ritual: Hurricane Armageddon. Every year, the press assures us we are facing unprecedented storms fueled by “warming oceans” and fossil fuels. This year, they went all in.

Then the season ended.

NOAA’s final count: thirteen tropical storms, five hurricanes, and not a single storm making landfall in the United States. It was the quietest season in ten years. The apocalyptic boom never arrived. Again.

That did not stop the hype machine. CNN warned in August that the Atlantic was a “powder keg.” The New York Times claimed a “quiet season” was about to explode into chaos. CBS pushed “above average” fear onto homeowners. NBC and Axios insisted the calm was proof that even worse storms were inevitable. And The Washington Post tried to recycle one storm from last year into a sweeping narrative about a “new era of floods.”

Rush would have had a field day with this one. Because once again the predictions failed spectacularly, and once again the media simply moved on and pretended no one noticed.

This is not science. It is political power dressed up as prophecy. The forecasts collapse, the coverage disappears, and the same activists and media outlets return with the same claims the next season.

The way to deal with it is the way Rush taught us: expose it, mock the hypocrisy, and refuse to surrender common sense to people whose real goal is control, not climate.

Thank you for standing with us. Wishing you and your family a Thanksgiving grounded in faith, filled with family, and grateful for freedom.
